Benefits for schools

“Because we are agents, everyone works harder and the class is quieter. It is better than other lessons because everyone has something to do and they have to do their best for Sinclair St John”
Lee, Pupil, Fox Hill Primary School

Whole-school benefits

Increased motivation. WebPlay projects have been proven to increase pupil’s motivation and engagement. Especially for children at-risk of failure. In her evaluation of WebPlay, Professor Angela McFarlane of the University of Bristol hailed the project as being ‘highlight of these childrens’ primary school careers’.

Increased academic, personal and social skills. Evaluations and Case studies cited WebPlay’s impact on increasing academic skills, especially in Literacy, Geography and ITC. The project also gives children the opportunity to ‘link’ their learning across subject matters and also to real-world experiences.

Increased behaviour and attendance. Case studies and teacher comments note that attendance increases on WebPlay days. Barley Croft Primary in Leicester used WebPlay as a behaviour-improvement project and they were overwhelmed by the results, which included “dramatic changes to the children’s behaviour and concentration levels”.

Teacher Professional Development. WebPlay projects include teacher training in both technology and drama skills. What’s more, we provide support you throughout the entire project.

We make it easy for you. We provide all the resources you need to successfully deliver the project, including detailed Teaching Plans aligned across the curriculum. And we’re always at the end of an email or phone if you need help.

Please see our Impact section for case studies and evaluations.
